Maria studied child development, and early childhood education at Central Michigan University. She began as director and lead teacher at Grace Beginnings Preschool in 2017.

"I teach because I love to see that "ah ha" moment when a child discovers something for the first time.  My role is to prepare a learning environment rich in materials and possibilities.  Where children are supported, and valued for their ideas, and seen as researchers, and active participants in their learning."
